Fume Event Awareness

As Endeavor Air Flight Attendants, it’s important that we all stay familiar with how to recognize and respond to potential fume events. The fundamentals are consistent across all aircraft types—identifying unusual odors, understanding possible sources (APU vs. engines, vents vs. cabin), recognizing symptoms, emphasizing the importance of reporting, and making the call to deplane when appropriate, especially if passengers have not yet boarded.

The video below highlights these key points and adds a bit of humor around how responses to fume reports can sometimes be perceived. While fume events across the CRJ fleet are relatively infrequent, they do happen—and how we respond in the moment matters.

Endeavor AFA to Launch Cabin Temperature Task Force

Cabin temperature concerns are not new—but they are becoming more frequent, more widespread, and more difficult to ignore. Flight Attendants across the system have reported excessive heat on aircraft, both on the ground and in-flight, impacting not only comfort but safety for crew and passengers alike.
