What is The Master Executive Council?
All Local Executive Councils within an airline form the Master Executive Council (MEC).  The MEC is responsible for coordinating the activities of AFA across an entire airline. Each LEC President sits on the MEC as the voting member for the members of the Local Council that they represent.

The LEC Presidents elect three officers to lead the MEC: a President, Vice President, and Secretary-Treasurer.  These MEC Officers serve a three year term when elected.  They do not carry a vote on the MEC with the exception of the MEC President, who votes only to break a tie.

How the MEC Operates

The MEC generally holds regular MEC meetings once per month to conduct the business of AFA at Endeavor Air.  Meetings are usually held via ZOOM call.  If you have any questions, concerns, or items of business you would like brought before the MEC, please contact your LEC President.

Ultimately, AFA is governed by the AFA Constitution and Bylaws as adopted by the AFA Board of Directors.  The MEC has adopted a policy and procedure manual to address matters of business that the AFA Constitution and Bylaws does not.  The policy and procedure manual can be amended by majority vote of the voting members of the MEC as needed.

Elizabeth brings more than four decades of union experience. Prior to beginning her aviation career, she served 10 years as a Memphis Police Officer.

Elizabeth began her career as a Flight Attendant with Mesaba Airlines in 2008. Through the transitions from Mesaba Airlines to Pinnacle Airlines and ultimately Endeavor Air, she has remained committed to serving Flight Attendants and advocating for their interests. Throughout her career, she has been based in Memphis (MEM), Detroit (DTW), New York (LGA), and Atlanta (ATL), and now proudly calls New York (LGA) home once again.

After joining the Association of Flight Attendants-CWA in 2008, Elizabeth quickly became active in union service while based in Memphis, volunteering on several committees, including Air Safety, Health & Security. More than a decade ago, she was appointed MEC Air Safety, Health & Security (ASHS) Chair, a position she continues to hold today. Her dedication to protecting Flight Attendants has been recognized with the AFA Outstanding Safety Award in both 2021 and 2025.

Throughout her union career, Elizabeth has served in numerous elected leadership positions. She served as LEC Vice President of Local Council 49 from July 1, 2023, through June 30, 2026; MEC Secretary-Treasurer in 2022; and MEC Vice President from 2023 through 2024. On November 13, 2024, she was elected MEC President to complete the remainder of the term ending December 31, 2025, and was re-elected to a full three-year term beginning January 1, 2026, serving through December 31, 2028.

Elizabeth resides in the Orlando, Florida, area and, when she isn't advocating for Flight Attendants, you'll often find her participating in Disney 5K events in both Florida and California or enjoying time in the parks. She is the proud mother of two daughters, Amanda and Taylor, who both reside in the Memphis area. Whenever possible, she enjoys returning home to spend time with family and cheering on her beloved Memphis Tigers.
Elizabeth believes the best leaders never forget who they represent. As MEC President, she leads the Endeavor Air Master Executive Council, working alongside elected leaders, committee volunteers, and AFA International to advocate for Flight Attendants and advance their collective interests. Whether she's addressing complex safety issues, mentoring new representatives, navigating contract matters, or advocating for individual members, she leads with transparency, accountability, common sense, and a healthy sense of humor. She believes in rolling up her sleeves, doing the work, and always putting Flight Attendants first.

My aviation journey began in 2006 as a Ramp Agent with SkyWest in Santa Barbara. In 2008, I became a Flight Attendant at Mesaba Airlines, where I discovered a deep passion for advocacy and representation. That passion took shape in 2012 when I volunteered as an Info Rep, quickly becoming engaged in organizing, education, and member support as AFA returned following the merger of Colgan, Pinnacle, and Mesaba.

Since then, I have had the honor of representing and defending hundreds of Flight Attendants through grievances, terminations, and contract disputes. My work has helped more than 100 members successfully regain their jobs and has resulted in numerous settlements that strengthened both individual rights and collective protections.

These experiences have shaped my leadership philosophy: firm when necessary, fair always, and grounded in the belief that every member’s voice deserves to be heard, respected, and defended.

Beth stared her career as a flight attendant in 2000 with Mesaba Airlines, then merging with Pinnacle/Colgan.  Based in MSP, Beth started her union duties as first a grievance/info rep, adding on as PBS assistant when system was first initiated.  Then onto ASHS MEC Chair until Elizabeth Mullins took around in 2012.   At which time the ASAP program as Endeavor Air  was implemented for all our flight attendants, and became the Primary ERC Representative on behalf of AFA.  Included in that  is Fatigue Review Board.  

Prior to this career Beth has operated her small business since 1988.

Beth currently resides in west central Minnesota.  In her spare time given the chance you will find her outside growing all sorts of things or on the water/ice with a fishing pole.
