EAP and Professional Standards
EAP/Professional Standards Committee: Support for Flight Attendants
The EAP/Professional Standards Committee offers confidential support to Flight Attendants, their families, and partners. Run by professionally trained peer volunteers, this service helps with personal challenges and problem resolution through three key programs:
- EAP Services
- Professional Standards (PS)
- Critical Incident Response (CIR)
How the Professional Standards Program Works
The Professional Standards (PS) program is a confidential, peer-based conflict resolution service.
- A peer-based conflict resolution program designed to address workplace disputes and concerns among Flight Attendants & Flight Deck Crew
- The focus is on fostering mutual understanding, improving communication, and resolving conflicts without involving management which can result in a disciplinary action
- Professional Standards emphasizes collaboration and maintaining a respectful work environment, ensuring solutions are reached amicably while protecting the professional relationships among team members.
Here's how it works:
- Reach Out: Contact the EAP/Professional Standards team to discuss your concern confidentially.
- Share Your Situation: A trained peer volunteer will listen, assess, and gather details about the issue.
- Collaborative Resolution: The volunteer will work with all parties involved to facilitate open communication and understanding.
- Find Solutions: Together, the goal is to resolve the issue respectfully without involving management.
We’re here to listen, assist, and ensure all conversations remain confidential.
